Event Background

According to the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment, China-IV emission standard for non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) will be officially implemented from December 1st, 2020, marking the official beginning of the China-IV era for NRMM. The construction machinery industry has rebounded since 2018 as revealed by increasing sales in excavator and other machinery, which can largely be attributed to the government’s increased investment in infrastructure, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), as well as the upcoming implementation of China-IV, which will satisfy users’ demands for new emission standard. From January 1, 2019, all non-road diesel engines below 56kW and above 130kW must meet the requirements of EU Stage V emission standard, while all 56-129kW non-road diesel engines executed from January 1, 2020. All these are signals of global introduction of stricter emission standards.

Against this background, the 3rd China International Non-Road Mobile Machinery Summit 2020 will be held in Shanghai from 3rd to 4th September 2020.
